All finished with everything. did my last piece and got all of my images together. I’m ready for critique! I’m kind of sad I never got the gold star because my hours were always pretty steady throughout the semester.. oh well, I’m still glad I managed to stay organized.

Finished GI Joe, and about 3/4 finished with another piece. I’ll probably spend the next 7-8 hours on it, then spend the rest of the time working on getting digital images together and writing my self evaluation.

Nearly finished with the gi joe. Just need to finish his hands and face. I will probably have time for one more piece before crit.

5 hours: Touched up and re-fixed other images according to comments I received in class and during midterm crit (and some from last semester for senior show). 5 hours: Worked on new GI Joe piece

Finally finished that piece. I’m really amazed it took so long. Now this week I’m going to work in touching up all my pieces for senior show.

Spent the whole time on that same drawing. It looks really good it’s just taking forever. Has about 5 more hours until its complete I hope.

                                                Final Contract

This semester I want to continue the work I did the past few semesters, focusing on cosmetic surgery and the pressure for young girls to live up to this society’s standard of beauty. I want Barbie dolls to be a symbol of someone who’s had a lot of work done, someone who’s conformed to this standard. I want to focus on the dismemberment that happens before beauty is achieved, and how unnatural cosmetic surgery is. I also want to have a couple pieces that focus on young boys and their struggle as well, since men also get cosmetic surgery.

I’m going to work in realism and charcoal this semester like last semester, in the same large scale as before. I’d like to aim for 6 30x40” charcoal drawings.

Finished one drawing. Didn’t have time to finish the second.

Set the year book drawing aside for now because I was excited to start the third drawing. I spend 9 hours working on it.
